Matthew Krishanu: The Sun Never Sets

London-based painter Matthew Krishanu takes inspiration from his childhood spent in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka to produce his dream-like, reflective paintings.

The Sun Never Sets was exhibited at the Midlands Arts Centre from in 2019 and tells the story of Krishanu and his family. Taking inspiration from Bangladesh, his paintings feature beautiful, vivid and colourful scenery of the city of Dhaka. The exhibition catalogue also presents an exclusive interview with Krishanu himself.
