This plate features the design from Philippa Perry’s Normal Life (2022), a glazed ceramic plate, on view in Grayson’s Art Club: The Exhibition at Midlands Arts Centre.
Philippa Perry said: "I have put in things that I feel are normal life, like I’ve got a full English breakfast. I’ve got video conferencing. I’ve got email. I’ve got the supermarket, 'cos my life seems to mainly comprise of going to the supermarket and email (…) It’s built on things that we’ve done forever, which includes eating off traditional looking plates."
